Who runs this
TakedownRoute is an independent service. Write to info@takedownroute.com about anything on this page, including deletion — that address reaches a person, not a queue.
What is collected
Looking up a URL collects nothing about you. The address you paste is sent to the server, resolved against public records and returned; it is not written to a database and not attached to you.
Asking for alerts collects, and only then:
- your email address, so alerts have somewhere to go;
- the address you asked us to watch, because that is what the alert is about;
- which page you submitted from;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, used to stop the form being hammered. The address itself is not stored and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
Why, and on what basis
To send you the alerts you asked for. The basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Withdraw it at any time and the record goes.
Who else sees it
Your address is passed to Brevo, which sends the email, and a notification of the signup reaches the operator over Telegram. The anti-bot check on the form is Cloudflare Turnstile. Nobody else receives it, and it is never sold or used for anything but these alerts.
How long it is kept
Until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, and no longer than two years after the last alert we send you. Unsubscribing removes the record rather than flagging it.
Your choices
Every alert carries an unsubscribe link. You may also ask for a copy of what is held, a correction, or deletion, by writing to info@takedownroute.com. No account is needed to ask.
What is stored in your browser
One item: your answer to the cookie notice, so it stops reappearing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking scripts, no third-party fonts. The Turnstile script loads only on the alerts form. See also the terms.
